INNOVATIONS FROM AQUAPOT

In what has been hailed as a ‘game changer’ in the fight against fluoride content in ground water, two young entrepreneurs, B M Balakrishna and Md Naser Azeez, have come up with a portable solar powered water purifier that can convert water from any available source — rain water, river water, bore water etc., to bottled water quality utilizing reverse osmosis process. B M Balakrishna, an MBA with a background in Automobile diploma with Md. Naser Azeez MBA with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering are the brains behind this innovation. The entrepreneurs,who had begun with a mission to make safe drinking water available and affordable to all, designed the compact solar powered water purifier that is first of its kind in India. They are currently working in the field of water treatment. Although Solar and RO are existing technologies that are widely in use, their innovation lies in the integration of both technologies. The size, weight and design make it extremely simple and portable. The whole idea is to make the technology affordable and available where it is most needed.
